A well-known mountain in the DPRK, Mt Kumgang boasts diversified natural beauties and distinctive scenes in different places. It has a lot of cultural relics such as Phyohun and other temples, Buddhist images, towers, stupas and steles.
In July last year, the 47th Session of the World Heritage Committee of the UNESCO being held in Paris, France decided to register Mt. Kumgang as the world cultural and natural heritage.
