The DPRK U17 women’s national team captured a record fifth AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup title with a dominant 5-1 victory over Japan in the final in Suzhou on Sunday. Yu Jong Hyang starred with four goals, finishing the tournament with 15 goals and earning both the Most Valuable Player and Top Goalscorer awards. The win also secured DPRK a place at the 2026 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.
